Life Calendar (the “app”) is made by Loomera. Life Calendar is built around a simple principle: your data is yours. The app is designed so that your personal information stays on your own devices — your iPhone, your Apple Watch, your Mac — or on a server that you run. We, the developer, do not collect, sell, or share your personal data, and the app contains no third-party advertising or analytics or tracking SDKs.
What data the app handles, and where it stays
Depending on which features you turn on, Life Calendar works with:
- Apple Health data (sleep, steps, energy, heart rate, workouts, and — if you log meals — nutrition). The app reads this to build your health, longevity and fitness views, and writes the meals you log in the Nutrition tab back to Apple Health. This data is processed on your device and stored only on your device or on the server you run.
- Calendar, Photos, and Camera. Calendar events and photos you choose to include are processed on your device. The camera is used only to scan food barcodes when you log a meal; no images are stored or sent anywhere.
- Things you track (workouts, reading, journal entries, time logs) — stored on your device or your own server.
- Accounts you choose to connect (e.g. Last.fm, Letterboxd, TMDb, your bank via SimpleFIN/EnableBanking). Credentials you enter are stored on your device / your server and used only to fetch your own data into your own calendar.
Life Calendar does not transmit any of this data to Loomera. We operate no server that receives your personal data.
Apple Health
Health and nutrition data accessed through Apple HealthKit is used solely to provide features inside the app (your dashboards, scores, and meal log). It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties. It is not stored in iCloud by the app.
Third-party services
When you enable an integration, the app contacts that service directly to retrieve your information or look up reference data. These services have their own privacy policies:
- Food databases — USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts — receive the search terms or barcodes you enter to look up nutrition facts. No personal account data is sent.
- Media & finance services you connect (Last.fm, Letterboxd, TMDb, SimpleFIN, EnableBanking) are contacted using the credentials you provide, to import your own data.
Purchases
The optional one-time purchase that unlocks the on-device calendar is handled by Apple’s App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
Data retention & deletion
Because your data lives on your device or your server, you control it. You can delete it at any time from within the app (including a “wipe all data” option), by revoking permissions in iOS Settings → Privacy, or by deleting the app.
Children
Life Calendar is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
